Community Broadcasting Station Census

The newly released Community Broadcasting Station Census is a comprehensive report into the activities of stations in the Community Broadcasting Sector and covers the financial period 2009/10.

This report presents condensed data collected by McNair Ingenuity for the Community Broadcasting Station Census. The CBOnline Project conducts regular research undertakings into aspects of the Community Broadcasting Sector and is managed by the CBAA.

Codes of Practice Review

The Community Radio Broadcasting Codes of Practice are due for review in 2012. As part of the process, the CBAA is seeking feedback from stations, sector bodies and stakeholders about the current Codes in order to complete its submission to the ACMA in July 2012 and in keeping with Code 8 of the Codes of Practice.

Over $900,000 Available for New Content!

Community radio stations of any size and location are encouraged to apply for a General Content Development grant from the Community Broadcasting Foundation.

Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of Australian community broadcasting through grants to support the development, production, distribution and exchange of new radio content at local and/or national levels relevant to communities of interest.

2011 Conference Workshops & Sessions

Each year, the CBAA Conference brings together a diverse range of broadcasters, volunteers, technicians and stakeholders to develop and strengthen the skills, knowledge and networks of the sector.

Network Online with Community Broadcasting!

TweetChat and the CBXPod are two brand new initiatives connecting people all across Australia with community broadcasting!

The Community Broadcasters TweetChat uses the twitter social networking site as a platform to communicate, network and discuss the hot topics with stations, sector bodies and stakeholders.

CBXPod uses CPod, the CBAA’s podcast hosting service and will serve as an ongoing regular wrap-up of activities in the community broadcasting sector.
